Zerbanoo has dedicated 50 years to grassroots and global campaigning. She started as a teenage volunteer setting up the first shelter shops in London and has continued to work tirelessly in partnership with many individuals and organisations for social justice and interfaith understanding. She is known for her campaigning to stop modern slavery and child labour and has been part of the anti-apartheid struggle. Zerbanoo is recognised as an international advocate for women’s and youth empowerment.
